RipRoar Events is a small, local team—and while we’re passionate about creating unforgettable race experiences, we can’t do it alone. That’s where you come in.
Our volunteers are a huge part of what makes this weekend special. You might be handing out water, cheering on athletes, helping at packet pickup, guiding runners along the course, or simply being the friendly face someone needs when race day gets a little tough.
Whatever your role, you’re helping create an experience that thousands of women will remember.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Hand out race packets to athletes
Saturday:
Shift One: 9:15am - 1:15pm
Shift Two: 1:00pm - 4:45pm

Fill and hand out athlete water throughout the course. Some aid station stations may include Gatorade and food as well.
Saturday + Sunday

Hand out medals, water and help to keep the event running smoothly.

Our cycling team offers bike support to athletes on course. They offer encouragement to the runners as well as provide band aids, Vaseline, GU and other much-needed supplies to runners when they need it most.

It takes us 3 days to build out the Des Moines Women's Race, and if we're good, only 3 hours to take it all down. Being a teardown volunteer means you're joining our crew for a few hours of hard work, high fives and lots of good vibes.
